Ronald Hoogenboom
Ronald Hoogenboom (1952) holds a Masters degree in Technical
Physics from the University of Technology in Delft (1978), and
joined Shell's Exploration and Production Research and Technology
Center in Rijswijk, The Netherlands as a research geophysicist in
seismic instrumentation in 1978. He has over 30 years of
international Research and Operational industry experience with
E&P companies of the Royal Dutch Shell Group. Most recently he
has been leading Shell's geophysical acquisition and processing
activities in the Asia Pacific region based in Miri, Malaysia
covering Malaysia, Philippines, China, Australia and New Zealand.
Other operational assignments have been as Geophysical Manager for
Shell in China based in Beijing, and as senior interpretation and
operations geophysicist With Sarawak Shell Berhad based in Miri,
Malaysia. His R&D assignments included Exploration Technology
Deployment Manager; head of interpretation R&D; and as senior
research geophysicist in reservoir geophysicist and seismic
instrumentation. Since 2010 Hoogenboom is working as an independent
consultant engaged in geophysical advice and training/coaching
capitalizing on his broad operational and research experience in
geophysics.
