About Us
EPTS is a consortium of highly experienced oil industry professionals, who have the desire to transfer their accumulated knowledge to the new generation of young professionals. Our trainers have served the industry as technical specialists, as managers, and as learning and development professionals in the industry or in university organisations.The technical expertise of our people spans the entire scope of technical skills required to make an oil and gas venture successful. Amongst us are geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, geochemists, reservoir engineers, well technologists, environmental scientists, and facilities engineers.
Our Goal:
E&P Training Services provides low cost, high quality, and effective knowledge transfer in hydrocarbon exploration and production technologies. EPTS professionals want to share their collective knowledge with as many of the younger upcoming generation of technical E&P staff as possible.EPTS accomplishes this goal by the following view on training:
- Effective transfer of knowledge requires teachers with a very long industry experience
- Intensive interaction between teacher and student, and amongst students is essential for effective learning
- Teachers have to radiate enthusiasm for their profession and for the learning process
- Effective learning requires a high percentage of time devoted to challenging exercises
- A tailor-made program and incorporation of participant`s own data in exercises, results in effective application of the skills acquired during the class sessions
- Training can be inexpensive. Bringing courses to the client`s office strongly reduces costs, and brings new knowledge within the reach of the maximum number of people
EPTS instructors
All our instructors have been carefully selected based on a proven track record of industry experience, technical excellence, teaching capabilities, and enthusiasm for their profession.Some of our instructors have spent significant time as university teachers and researcher, after their industry career as technical expert. Others have spent many years within the oil industry in their company`s own training division. Others again have been technical guru or reached senior management positions within the oil industry before joining EPTS to transfer their own accumulated knowledge to younger people.
Most of our instructors have lived many years in different countries, serving operating companies in oil and gas exploration and production. Therefore, our group of people really brings together a world-wide pool of experience and knowledge.
